Mexico Next Weekend?
A long lived but inconsistent SW swell (200-215+) looks probable starting around Friday the 24th and continuing for a few days thereafter, from a large storm now brewing to the ESE of New Zealand. This storm is very zonal and is aiming most of its energy toward South and Central America, but will send a bit of fun size energy our way. As such, it looks like knee-waist-chest high range surf will build at the better breaks of Orange County, San Diego and select other areas by Friday the 24th, with slightly larger surf on tap for the following weekend and possibly beyond. Stay tuned, we’ll closely monitor this storm over the next few days and will keep you posted.
